Federico Ughi is a drummer based in New York.

Born in Rome, Italy in 1972 he relocated to London at age 21, from there moving to New York in 1999. He has been based in Brooklyn, NY ever since.

Federico plays drums, writes songs and lyrics and plays these songs with people he likes.

He has performed or recorded with Ornette Coleman, Bloody Riot (It), The Cinematic Orchestra (UK), William Parker, the group WAKE UP!, Leila Adu, Daniel Carter, Eri Yamamoto among others. He has collaborated with poet Steve Dalachinsky.

Federico Ughi has toured throughout the US, Europe, and the UK, performing in many festivals and venues including: Ponta Delgada Jazz Festival (Portugal), V:NM (Austria), Vision Festival (NYC), Zuid Nederlands Jazz Festival (Holland), Copenhagen Jazz Festival (Denmark), Brighton Jazz Bop Festival (UK), Relay Festival (UK), Total Eclipse Festival (UK), CBGB (NYC).
